First hydroponic farm project on the Bonavista Peninsula.

SaltWater Community Association Inc. recently received $400,000 in funding from Northpine Foundation for a hydroponic farm project on the Bonavista Peninsula.

The project will provide gainful employment to individuals with intellectual disabilities in the region.

This all female not for profit organization is dedicated to supporting vulnerable individuals in the region with fresh produce year round at no charge.

Implementing a hydroponic farm project on the Bonavista Peninsula not only addresses immediate food insecurity concerns but also contributes to the overall resilience, sustainability, and self-sufficiency of our local food system
